Responsibilities The incumbent designs advanced systems by researching and evaluating complex business systems to develop detailed understanding of user needs. Designs, implements, analyzes, and modifies systems for various applications. Works with users to define system requirements and creates resolution. Regularly leads small to medium size projects and provides guidance to staff members. Works as a team member on large, highly complex technical/programming projects under minimal direction of senior staff and management. Regularly leads small to medium size projects, performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration and scheduling activities. Develops solutions and makes decisions that impact projects and staff members. Performs analysis, writes program specifications and develops designs for medium to large size projects OR performs analysis, resolves problems and monitors to proactively prevent problems from occurring. Evaluates options for meeting user needs, and ensures that system requirements are identified, prioritized and incorporated in an effective, efficient manner. Troubleshoots complex development and production application problems and provides technical and production support on an on-call basis. Performs technical evaluation of products. Responsibilities The incumbent will get to work on customer facing applications (millions of users). The candidate must have applied Software Development Life Cycle in various development projects. The candidate will occasionally lead small to mid size projects and regularly mentors staff members and peers. Perform detailed designs for mid sized complex projects. Implements Customer Facing Web based RIA application. Candidate must be familiar with user look and feel issues and challenges. The candidate must have good interpersonal/communication skills and be able to step up and help other team members in project activities. Work closely with analysts, quality assurance and production support team members to align projects and orchestrate resolutions on open issues/defects. Responsible for analyzing and proactively managing problems and making decisions that impact overall Rich Internet Applications suite (Media store, Verizon Developer Community portal and Internal Applications for Catalog Management Platform). Be a technical SME for RIA application suite being developed and managed my MCS team. Manage the business project while acting independently. Evaluates, develops and implements systems solutions to effectively fulfill business requirements. Ensures systems implementations occur in accordance with established Change Control procedures. Proactively communicates status reports and issues to manager with a game plan of resolution. The candidate must also have good business knowledge for all VZW media content, Customer profile activity, Device to Device transfers and Customer Care activity. Perform project management activities such as planning, sizing, scheduling including implementation activities for the development team. Responsibilities include work with UX teams, setting standards for RIA development for WDS team. Provide solutions that are Security Compliance, Reusability, Scalability and Open Architecture standards for VZW. Responsibilities include enhancing and RIA maintaining websites like Media store, Verizon Developer Community Portal and internal CMP management tools. Ensure Media Store is 24x7 available and ensure the application is scalable to meet sub second response times for the business SLAs. Designs and codes complex Framework solutions for RIA application Suite using HTML5, AJAX, Javascript and Java. Work with staff members ensure solid designs and follow the software development life cycle standards. Leads MCS - RIA development team on small to medium size projects and performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, structuring and scheduling activities. Regularly mentors and motivates the staff team members and peers on projects and business level impacts for the deliverables. Validate and flag gaps to avoid pitfalls in the development lifecycle. Have solid ability to make independent decisions that positively impact the overall system and future business projects. The candidate needs to be a technical SME for Web development platform across different programming language. Content is fastest changing business segment in wireless industry, candidate must have excellent business knowledge of Media Content ( Music, Ring Tone, Ring Back Tones, Games, Videos etc) . Is well versed with Internet security protocols and has worked on customer facing applications. Constantly looking into new technology and process improvement to keep up with the market pace for the development team. Looking in to reusability to increase speed of delivery for projects. Consistently demonstrates solid design skills, has solid knowledge on Object Oriented Methods/Principals, tools like memory checking utilities, automation tools, standards and procedures. Very focused on web base application usability and familiar with RIA application development tools and standards. Responsibilities include creating project plans for the development activity, resource allocation and management of tasks for multiple projects. Track milestone and come up with mitigation alternatives for issues and design gaps. Interact with Analyst, QA leads, Operation leads to ensure the deliverables are aligned. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 4+ years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of methodology, tools, standards and procedures. Subject matter expertise and strong business knowledge. Excellent technical/analytical skills (e.g., systems design) and/or strong programming and design skills. Working knowledge of project management concepts In depth knowledge of information systems concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills Strong decision-making and leadership abilities Strong organizational and problem solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Qualifications 4 or more years hands-on HTML5 or jQuery experience. 4+ years hands on Javascript, AJAX, JSON and HTML 4. 1. Deep familiarity with Web application technologies (e.g. XML, XSLT, XHMTL, JavaScript, SOAP). 4 or more years developing customer-facing Web applications. Evaluates solutions and develops from proof of concept to production solutions. Demonstrate complex design and strong programming skills for RIA Development.
