Job Description: Job Family Responsibilities: Develops and implements plans for strategic accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty. Pursues long-term account strategy that maximizes profits. May identify, develop and manage channel partners to achieve channel goals. Assists in cultivating long-term relationships with the appropriate key account decision makers. Develops a complete understanding of the organizations structure and key buying influences of assigned account. Performs client presentations articulating the value proposition of product / solution / service offerings. Provides management with suggestions for improving volume, market share and price levels. May develop forecasts, budgets and operating plans for sales channels. Key Responsibilities: Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Refers complex, unusual problems to others. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations. Education: Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas. Knowledge and Experience: 5+ years of successful sales experience in the industrial or electrical automation field. Ideal candidates will have experience sell discrete automation, micro automation, drives, motors and controls technology selling to large OEMs and Solution Providers. Experience/knowledge of with automation, PLC's, hmi, drives, motion controls, etc. is required. Strategic selling skills related to large volume equipment builders ($2 ? 50 Million) as well as the ability to engage in high level relationships with end ?user base are preferred. Must be able to manage conflict/challenges and be receptive to change. This position will be based in the Houston, TX area. Relocation assistance is not provided. Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organizations business practices and issues. Typically 5 ?8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable. Direction of Others: Provides general guidance or train support and/or professional staff.
