Risk and Compliance provide risk and compliance services across all BNY Mellon businesses. Organizationally, Risk and Compliance includes the following groups: Risk Management, Compliance, Global Corporate Security, Information Risk Management and Global Business Continuity. Risk Management oversees and delivers risk services and ensures new business risks are reviewed and approved. Risk Management is organized through Chief Risk Offices for each core business and critical operation. Description

This position will be staffed by experienced security personnel who will oversee the activities of the Security Command Center Specialists who man the security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) console, answer phone inquiries from employee-travelers, and respond to all alarms received through the monitoring systems. This position encompasses the implementation and coordination of physical security, life safety and investigative support programs for BNY Mellon globally. This position directs the Command Center Specialists' response to emergency incidents. This position, in the absence of the person assigned as the SCC Manager, is called upon to make decisions regarding the necessity to dispatch, add, and/or post guards in response to specific incidents. This position directs the SCC Mobile Patrol on the Evening and Midnight shifts. This position is tasked with monitoring media sources for information that could potentially impact business or business travelers, and is tasked with the escalation of necessary notifications to GCS Management. This position also makes the determination, based on guidelines, whether the Emergency Operations Center should be activated, bridge call should opened, and a 'Send Word Now' alert transmitted in response to an incident. This position monitors the Travel Intelligence Platform (NC4), and will initiate notifications to management and travelers as necessary. This position is responsible for the filing of Incident Reports for lost or stolen items, and the preparation of reports for all other incidents such as medical emergencies or 'slip and fall' injuries. This position canvasses/reviews DVR recordings in support of investigations and litigation. Advanced knowledge and experience in Access Control Operations, Closed Circuit Television Observation, Telecommunications and other applicable systems. Required to assist with planning and training, evaluate various aspects of access control and overall Command Center and Console Operations in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge of all applicable security regulations and standards, such as the NYS Security Guard Act of 1992 and successful completion of this guard act certification required. May be required to obtain a NYC pistol permit/NYFD Certificate of Fitness. Reviews all reports submitted by shift security specialists and provide reports prior to final submittal of (alarms, service, incidents and etc.) as required by management. May be required to sign various (NDA) Non Disclosure Agreements.

The hours are from 10:00p.m. to 6:00a.m.

Qualifications

High School Diploma. Bachelors Degree preferred. 4 years Security Command Center. 7 years Security Command Center preferred. Familiar with Access Control Systems. NYS Security Guard, Driver License. Certified Professional Officer, Firearms, Fire Guard or Fire Safety Director,CPR AED, Evasive Protective Driving Course, Security Guard Certification.
