Sr. Server VMware Analyst Job in Edmonton T6H5V7, Alberta Canada
Must have requirements:
Related degree/diploma/certification with 5 years IT industry experience. Equivalencies considered
Demonstrated industry experience working as a server support analyst 3 years
Demonstrated experience deploying and supporting VMware ESX/ESXi 3 and/or 4 operating systems. 3 years
Demonstrated experience configuring virtual guests in a VMware ESX/ESXi environment 2 years
Demonstrated experience using one or more of vCenter Server, vCenter Server Heartbeat, vCenter CapacityIQ 1 year
Demonstrated experience installing and supporting Server Blades in an HP C-class Enclosure using VirtualConnect. 2 years
Desirable requirements:
Working level knowledge of applicable programming and scripting languages. 2 years
Demonstrated experience using a server OS deployment tool 2 years
Experience installing and supporting SUSE Linux as a system administrator 2 years
Experience installing and supporting Windows 2003 or 2008 as a system administrator 2 years
Experience with IBM xSeries server platforms 2 years
Experience with Remedy Action Request System (ITSM) 2 year
Experience with Remote Access software (Terminal Services, VPN, Citrix) 2 year
Experience working in local or provincial government environment (indicate years experience) No minimum
Familiarity with the GOA IT infrastructure, business direction, strategies, shared service initiatives and applications 2 year
Available to start June 1, 2012
