As a Software Design Engineer with Concur, you will contribute to the design and development of new features for Concur's hosted solutions, focusing on our core product, Concur Travel Expense. In this role you will build and maintain Concur's intricate web of data interfaces, with a view towards efficiency, data cleanliness, efficiency, scalability, and … efficiency. You will work extensively with technologies such as SQL (no surprises there), MS SQL Server 2008, ETL technologies, web services, XML, and any other technological tools you need to get your job done.
Responsibilities:
- Building critical bridges for the exchange of travel and financial data, using SQL, scripting technologies, and .Net web services, for both internal and external systems.
- Performance tuning of transactional procedures and reporting roll-ups to keep the user experience of our systems at its best.
- Overseeing the database work of team members to make sure they pass your high standards for performance considerations.
- Enjoy working with others.
- Participate in code design, writing, reviews, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience.
- 8+ years in a related role.
- 8+ years professional experience with SQL Server, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of areas related to performance optimization.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as VBScript and JScript.
- Experience with .Net web services a plus.
- Experience with Data Visualization is a plus.
- Familiarity with batch scheduling utilities.
- Ability to pass a background check.
