Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing in-house backend data processing applications, tools and technologies
  • Maintain a holistic understanding of core PriceGrabber.com applications and technologies
  • Provide analysis of available data and work closely with technical and sales teams to guide future projects
  • Coordinate and handle internal operational and development issues

  • Perl
  • Mysql
  • Linux

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in Perl programming with strong debugging and coding skills
  • Application development fundamentals, including but not limited to: test- driven development, object-oriented programming, automation, and Perl best practices
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL or other relevant RBBMS experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a shared code environment (SVN/CVS, wiki documentation)
  • Fluency in Linux or other *nix flavor is essential
