Senior Software Engineer (Flight Control Systems Software/Subsystems) We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take on responsibilities in the development of horizontal stabilizer/trim control systems for the next generation of business, regional, and military aircraft. Responsibilities include all phases of the software lifecycle including software/subsystem requirements definition, software design and coding, and software test and verification for horizontal stabilizer/trim control applications. The process for software design uses a mix of model based design and conventional code development using (UML) as found in Rhapsody and Matlab Simulink and C++. Software development tasks include: Define and review software requirements for horizontal stabilizer/trim control systems including functional requirements and interface requirements. Develop and maintain design models and code. Conduct software verification and testing including structural coverage analysis. Further desired abilities include: Team leadership experience. Project planning and earned value analysis experience. Working well in a cross-functional multi-discipline team environment. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Previous knowledge of horizontal stabilizer/trim control systems or flight control systems would be beneficial but is not a requirement. Knowledge/experience in the area of embedded systems, feedback control systems, hardware/software interface design, DO-178B development, UML, and object oriented design is desirable. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, and six years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, twelve years of related experience.
