I am seeking a rock-star senior software engineer for a leader in the solar electric and smart-grid spaces to come in and hit the ground running. The successful candidate is responsible for the software development tasks associated with the design, development, and debugging of Java applications according to design specifications. You will add enhancements and new features to existing software applications with a focus on developing client/server applications using .NET and Java technologies. Duties
· Designs, develops and debugs Java applications.
· Works with embedded software engineers to integrate features developed by our communication devices, such as ZigBee gateways.
· Creates and innovates applications to be used by the manufacturing and support teams.
· Manages and enhances thin client applications.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
· 5+ years experience as a software developer using the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JSON, SOAP, MVC Framework, SWING, JSP, XML, Aspect-oriented programming, SQL, Adobe Flex, Struts, and at least 2 years in J2EE technologies.
· Familiarity with Object Oriented Principles, Eclipse, TCP/IP networking, MySQL, SVN, MS Project, defect tracking systems, and application lifecycle management.
