Sr. Software Engineer
Job Description The Allstate Corporation, the nation?s largest publicly held personal lines insurer is looking for bright motivated developers to join their development team. Developers will work with clients, technology leaders and business analysts to maintain and enhance a complex large-scale web application platform for selling and servicing insurance policies for multiple business units. Responsibilities · Provide code/design analysis and strategy, support project planning, develop code and designs for complex projects · Critique and evaluate detailed business, functional, and high-level technical requirements to ensure best in class solutions · Ensure that design reviews are scheduled and executed and that standards and documentation are followed. Provide feedback and recommend solutions. · Ensure project change management approach is followed and that enhancements are appropriately prioritized and developed, and all documentation is completed appropriately. · Lead and organize testing reviews. Track and resolve complex defects and assists in planning efforts of complex functional tests in support of Quality Control. · Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of problem and manage the resolution of complex problems.
