Sr Software Test Engineer
Verifies that product operates as designed per requirements. In this role, the Test Engineer will have the opportunity develop tests for real-time software systems.
Works closely with software and hardware development engineers and Product Managers to understand product requirements and functionality.
Design test plans and test cases. Creates test scenarios in which tests are carried out and reviews test cases.
Identify modules that can have their testing automated. Design and execute test automation scripts.
Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
Use hands-on test lab experience configuring lab equipment, knowledge of test plans and executing test cases to verify product technical requirements and operation.
Reports test results and enters problems/issues into the bug tracking system.
Provide efficient reports on team progress and own assignments.
Bachelors in Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
Three or more years experience with testing methodologies and the defect reporting process.
Ability to write and execute SQL.
Familiar with defect tracking systems.
Solid understanding of complete SDLC methodologies.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
