Sr Specialist-Systems Administrator *
This position is a key member of the team responsible for the implementation and management of the company's entire Linux infrastructure, including the mission-critical systems that support AWS products and services. Responsible for providing 24x7 hardware, software, OS, application, and networking support for all of AWS's Linux systems . Additional responsibilities include managing corporate network services such as DNS, BIND, DHCP, SMTP, Sendmail, TACACS, Radius, and Kerberos. Plan, evaluate, test, and deploy new systems and applications to support the needs of the company. Manage both short-term tasks as well as long-term projects. · Cisco routers, switches, and IOS
- 3-5 years experience
- Knowledge of UNIX-Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of Change Management Life Cycle Principles
- System Support and Trouble Analysis skills (root cause analysis, alarm management platforms, troubleshooting, etc)
- BS in Engineering, Computer Sciences or other technical field
- Knowledge of call processing
- Server System Administration skills
- Knowledge of Analysis Tools (Access 7, GeoProbe, GSTool, RCATS)
- Hardware installation and repair skills
- Knowledge of OSI network protocol design
- Hardware/software skills necessary to support the telephony/voice infrastructure (Aspect, Avaya, Cisco, Nortel)
- Knowledge of Configuration, Backup, and Restoral processes necessary to support the telephony/voice infrastructure
- Experience using and writing technical documentation
