SHORT SCOOP: Senior SQL DBA. This is a contract to hire role. Responsibilities include monitoring, implementing and maintaining the database. Evaluating new versions of software improve capabilities and ensure smooth and consistent operations of the database. As a Senior DBA, this person will operate as a leader and model for the department.
REQUIREMENTS:
**Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
**5-7 years experience as DBA (MS SQL with clustering as focus)
**Highly knowledgeable in Oracle, SQL, and UNIX
**Demonstrated experience in major systems/databases, particularly across multiple data centers
**Excellent communication skills
**Skilled in project management
**PC and client server skills
**Microsoft SQL and ORACLE certifications a plus
**24/7 on call availability may be required
