Sr. SQL Developer recruitment
General Summary
This position will focus on developing stored procedures, SSIS packages, and database administration tasks for all Ipreo products. The candidate will work with multiple large datasets relating to CRM and Finance. This position on occasion will require .Net development. Over time, more .Net development may be required. This person must enjoy working directly with end users as that will be a critical factor in the success of this role. They will work with multiple data feeds from internal and external systems through SSIS packages. The individual must be a self starter with high capacity to work independently.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Stored Procedures for the Ipreo platform
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for internal and external feeds
• Provides technical support for Ipreo product to clients’ IT departments
• Develop and delivers custom reports for customers
• Analyze, design, and develop code for front and middle tiers.
• Code, test, debug, and documents programs on large-scale, complex projects.
• Revise and update programs and create documentation as required.
• Work directly with internal clients to gather requirements
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and correct underlying data issue
• Optimize existing data workflow as needed
• Support various data feeds in off-hours as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
- SQL Server Management Studio
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) T-SQL
- Stored Procedures
- Ability to study, analyze, and optimize Execution Plans (5 years of experience)
- SSIS (5 Years experience is preferred)
- Experience with C#, Winforms development is preferred
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter and ability to work independently
- Minimum 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server
- Dimension Modeling (Preferred)
- SQL Server Analytical Services (Preferred)
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience
