Job Description: The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets. Summary: * Performs Subcontract Administration for government and commercial client projects. Aids in the preparation of subcontract provisions and the administration of contract proposals. Responsibilities: * Source, solicit, negotiate, award and administer procurement packages and subcontracts IAW Shaw standard operating procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Simplified Acquisitions (FAR PART 13), Sealed Bidding (FAR PART 14), and Contract Negotiations (FAR PART 15), and sound prudent commercial practices; perform other administrative duties as assigned. * Assist in administration of subcontracting plans; prepare small business reports, interface with Government and Commercial clients/community, and support SB initiatives. * Routine business travel as required, regularly scheduled travel to project sites. Qualifications/Competencies/Experience: * Ability to perform and process moderately complex procurements and negotiations. * Knowledge of CAS, TINA, FASA, FARA, and construction and environmental buying mandatory. * Ability to read and interpret Government or Commercial Contract flowdown provisions. * Ability to travel on short-term assignments. * Typically has 7 to 25+ years experience. * Strong computer skills; Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. * Bachelors degree required. * Certificate and/or continuing education in Purchasing or Contracts highly desirable.
