Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Lead provides supply chain expertise and leadership within a strategic business unit to help achieve the SBU's objectives. An SCL creates and maintains strong linkages to the product supply organization and cross-functional partners to ensure understanding of and engagement in supporting the category strategy.
Responsibilities and Supporting Activities
Human Resource Management
- Active engagement in PMP / IDP process for self/career development
- Trains new Product Supply Chain Leads, as needed
- Demonstrates HPT relationships within Supply Chain Solutions organization to ensure strong functional continuity across projects/efforts
Provides functional expertise and broad business input within brand/category business teams
- Acts of the primary voice of all PSO functions within the project team. Facilitates communication and coordination of PSO functional activities outside of team meetings
- Develops and recommends an overall supply chain execution strategy that delivers against short and long term objectives of approved project initiatives, aka volume, Total Delivered Cost, supply risk, SPACE, etc
- Is accountable for the successful commercialization of projects through start of ship and technical transfer
- Provides leadership to ensure alignment between SBU and PSO functional objectives
- Facilitates functional project reviews and communication plans to impacted supply chain sites and the greater product supply organization
Manages product supply implementation of small product change concepts
- Provides product supply linkage and leadership on product change and/or merchandising program teams to ensure appropriate speed to market
- Supports the product supply feasibility process
- Ensures flawless supply execution, start of production/start of ship for new projects / promotions
- Acts as commercialization project manager for small projects, as assigned
- Identifies / recommends cost savings opportunities for assigned products/SBU’s
- Leads cost effective changes to product or supply chain to achieve small cost savings initiatives from approval to commercialization
Collaboration
- Collaborates with business team members to expand own capability from functional PSO expert into business partner within the team.
- Builds collaboration across PSO functions to deliver break through results.
- Works with Product Supply Integration resources to synchronize project status and priorities across constrained resources
- Designs and executes best practice business processes to ensure effective and efficient use of Supply Chain Solutions resources
- Acts as a role model to ensure effective team dynamics in order to deliver business priorities and determine /engage required resources

Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in Business or related technical degree
- Min 3 years product supply experience
- Experience with production/inventory control systems
- Experience with desktop ERP applications
- Re-locatable beyond Bay Area
