Job Summary:
This position is responsible, with a team of 4 employees for all global planning and distribution
of products for our Peripheral business and handles the day-to-day responsibilities
for all supply chain activity at the site in Switzerland. These activities include Purchasing,
Planning, Warehouse / Shipping and the Facility Management.
This Role will have interactions and business Partnerships with all functional areas as Operations,
Quality, Research and Development, Regulatory, Legal, Finance and Human Resources.
This Position will be working very close with our Global Supply Chain Team, the European
Procurement Team and the Medtronic Distribution Centers located across the world.
This Role will be part of the local Management Team in Frauenfeld and is acting as the
deputy of the Manufacturing Director.
Duties Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the execution activities across the manufacturing, distribution, and customer
service functions to maintain alignment of direction performance of the
overall supply chain. - Process Owner to secure seamless information and material flow within the applicable
Medtronic Distributions-Centers and Medtronic Component Customers. - Process Owner of Procurement-, Planning- and Shipping-Process Setup to secure
defined Service level on Material and Services (Internally) and Final Devices (Externally
at Tier1 Level) - Process Owner of Supply Chain related SOP's for Quality Audit and Compliance
Reasons, being available and effective. - Initiates and leads improvement projects related to Supply Chain, such as Lead-
Time Optimization, Stock turn optimization, Inventory Counting and more. - Responsible for negotiations in terms of Direct Procurement of Manufacturing Material
or Manufacturing and Facility equipment, utilizing the existing Medtronic Procurement
set-up. - Responsible with his team for complete and updated AX-Master-Data to secure sufficient
and accurate Supply Chain functions and Cost Calculation activities on AX - Define and prepare sufficient KPI data to monitor and control Service Level and to
increase the effectiveness of Supply Chain initiatives - Provide business / scenario analysis together with Finance to identify areas of opportunity
and help demonstrate and frame strategies and alternatives for business
leadership - Taking the Lead for key-project coordination on Supply Chain side as member of an
In-Sourcing projects and other RD Projects.
Qualifications Experience:
- Business Education/ University degree (e.g.: B.A.; M.S. (Uni/FH), other) in Business
Economics, preferred on logistics and/or Supply Chain - 5+ years work experience in similar position
- Key user experience and knowledge on ERP System
- Strong Project management skills / experience in execution
- Strong Experience in Leading Teams in a matrix and global organization
- Assertiveness
- High in Change Agility
- Flexibility Resilience
- Enjoys working in an interdisciplinary and international team
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills in both English and German are required.
