Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting Processes and Process Improvement within our Supply Chain, ensuring these processes support the right products, in the right quantity in the right stores, at the right time and at the lowest cost. The position will ensure the development, implementation training and support of Common Processes, Projects and Programs across the Supply Chain network. This position will also lead or support initiatives to optimize distribution process, layout and material handling equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Process Expertise: Knowledgeable of Distribution Center operations and overall supply chain business processes to effectively work with operations to understand requirements that will drive efficiencies in the business taking into account the entire picture as well as the details. Can identify distribution system/process issues and opportunities where implementation of best practices will ensure that department and company business and financial goals are met.
• Change Management: Knowledgeable of the capabilities in distribution and supply chain. Can identify, evaluate and define impacts of changes, provide alternatives both to physical and process options, inclusive of upstream and downstream components and communicate as needed.
• Project Leadership: Can lead medium to large cross-functional and cross-departmental projects with high complexity and cross-organizational impacts. Has the ability to conceptualize, document, and communicate solutions to meet business objectives. Completes required analysis, design and development deliverable documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to and execute initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools utilized by distribution, supply chain and the team.
• Reporting: Measure, interpret and report on the performance of Distribution operations. Provide interpretation and recommendations to DC management teams. Build staffing and planning models to aid in DC management and Distribution network planning. Help establish appropriate metrics and reports to guide Supply Chain management.
• DC Design Layout: Knowledgeable of Distribution Center design and layout to effectively work with operations to specify material handling and storage systems including the sourcing and installation of these systems into the Distribution operation for re-engineering efforts or build-out of new DC’s.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

Demonstrated business acumen, financial knowledge and change management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage resources and analyze best available data. Demonstrated success in change management within a performance oriented organization. Strong problem solving skills (i.e. critical and evaluative thinking) required. Ability to develop and implement complex project plans and strategies required. Excellent influencing, communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills. Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability and willingness to travel required (50%)

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Industrial Engineering preferred. 5 or more years experience is required in relevant and related positions leading Distribution Process Improvement projects and programs. Thorough knowledge of supply chain management strategies and concepts required. Retail experience preferred. Specific experience with Manhattan Associates applications WMOS, Slotting Optimization, TMS along with RF and VoCollect technology is preferred. Experience with the design build-out of new DC’s, or participation in major DC re-engineering projects preferred. Six sigma and Lean tools and methodologies preferred.
