Job Description: Seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to provide onsite support for an important Governmentcustomer. Responsibilities include plan, direct and implement hardware and software installations, upgrades, patches, backups and recovery.Evaluate software and security-related problem and implementation of solutions to resolve issues. Develop processes and standard operatingprocedures to maintain system configurations, user accounts, permissions, data files, directories and folders; manage system health andstatus to ensure availability, reliability and data integrity; conduct training, maintain documentation, and provide front line customer supportfor IT related problems; and provide input to the design of systems and mission architecture. Candidate will join a growing team that deliversonsite professional services. The work location is Columbia, MD and nearby areas.Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Job requirements include a Top Secret SCI clearance with lifestyle polygraph, DoD 8750IAT Category Level II, a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems or related discipline,sixteen years experience in application design and development, back end dataset architectures and full life cycle software development. Eightyears combined experience in system backup/restore procedures, system security practices, system tuning, user administration, software andhardware installation and maintenance, file management and system troubleshooting, operating systems such as Windows, Unix/Solaris, LINUX,and storage filers such as NetApp, Isolon, system accreditation support, and system configurations.
