Dell Inc. is a global provider of information technology solutions. We are currently looking for a Sr. System Administrator (VMware, Citrix) to join our team in Austin TX. Local Candidates Highly Desired.

Job Responsibilities:
Will be working with the technical aspects, and the development, of project deliverables to include system integration, scalability and performance tests. This position will be involved in the architecture, design and implementation of complex system configurations. The candidate will be expected to help provide solutions around the Windows, Citrix and VMware environments. Utilize problem solving and troubleshooting skills in enterprise level environments, being able to logically step through issues and troubleshoot problems by thinking outside of the box and being creative with your solutions. Be flexible in accommodating customer requirements and possess a drive to provide a high level of customer service, which includes working a flexible schedule that can be dictated by enterprise support issues. Work within a team environment, but operate independently in the absence of strict guidance to correct issues and improve the environment. Relate technical issues and requirements to business issues and vice versa and be able to communicate these to non-technical associates and customers. Required to participate within an on-call schedule.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of relying on their innovation, creativity, technical capabilities and leadership skills to deliver efficient and stable solutions to their clients.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
• 5-8+ years experience of relevant work experience
• 3+ years experience maintaining/supporting Windows Server (2000, 2003, 2008) environments at an enterprise level
• Architecture and deployment experience with Microsoft’s Active Directory and Virtualization (VMware) technologies
• Thorough understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP and DNS
• Experience designing, planning and implementing large scale stable solutions
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent research skills
• Technical documentation skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills, possess the ability to interact with senior management and technical staff

Desired Skills:
• Networking (TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP)
• Scripting (VBS, etc)
• Disaster recovery and business continuity planning, implementation and documentation
• Ability, initiative and accountability to execute broad assignments requiring minimal direction
• Experience and skills supporting Active Directory and/or virtualization technologies

Minimum Educational Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• College degree (preferred)

Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
• MCSE, VMware and Citrix certifications are encouraged
