We are currently recruiting for Sr. Systems Administrator. The Sr. Systems Administrator opportunities will be located at our headquarters, which is conveniently situated in Sorrento Mesa area of San Diego, just off the 805. This position requires a person that is willing to take on maintenance and developmental tasks and responsibilities within an environment that is dynamic and fast-paced. We are looking for candidates with a wide range of systems engineering development experience.
o 4-7+ Years previous systems administration experience
o Certificate or degree in computer science or a related filed
o Programming background in any applicable language
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- The ability to troubleshoot and solve IT problems quickly and completely
- The ability to program in an administrative language (VBScript, Windows Script)
- The ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them
- A solid understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, domains and directory services
- Understanding paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts, and can use performance analysis to tune systems
- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; principles of routing, client server programming, the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.
- A solid understanding of the Linux OS
- VMware experience
- Any applicable industry certifications: e.g., MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, Red Hat RHCE, Cisco CCNA
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintains complex local and wide-area networks of computers/servers
- Manages a large site or network
- Works under senior management
- Establishes/recommends policies on system use and services
- Researches current applicable technologies
- Monitor and practice backup recovery plans.
- Provides technical lead and/or supervises novice systems administrators
Candidate Requirements:
- The candidate must be able to provide documentation to support ability to work in the United States within the federal legal guidelines.
