Position Description
Sr. Systems Administrator
Essential Job Functions
· Manage Windows infrastructure (AD, DHCP, DNS, SharePoint, RSA, Exchange Server 2007 CCR)
· Manage the following systems but not limited to:
o AD 2008, VMWare 4.1, Backup Exec, Windows 7 GPOs, Blackberry Server
· Responsible for server (HP) and desktop standards.
· In depth knowledge of Terminal Servers and roaming profiles
· Understanding of Sun Rays and HP Thin Clients
· Responsible for data storage environment utilizing NetApp and a strong understanding of NFS, ISCSI and CIFS.
· Manage corporate system security (AntiVirus Symantec, spam prevention Postini) at an enterprise level as well as maintaining.
· Configure, maintain, and document server environment
· Participate and aid in escalation of end user support
· Mentors helpdesk in engineering activities/methodologies and domain knowledge.
· Tracks system engineering efforts by creating and maintaining records in the tracking management tool.
· Solves system problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
· Adhere to department policies and procedures.
· Self-Starter and be able to work with minimal supervision
