Sr. Systems Engineer Arlington, VA Sr. Systems Engineer Raytheon NetOps and Information Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to support the Integration Services Team. This individual will provide integration, operation and maintenance support for unclassified and classified networks. The candidate will have experience across multiple domains. Primary duties include implementation, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade systems hardware and software configurations, ensure total operational and functional compatibility with interfacing/interacting systems, subsystems, equipment, and computer applications. These systems include Windows Based Active Directory Domains, Collaboration Services Software, VMWare, LINUX, DNS, VoIP, and Exchange Email. Assists in planning, managing and evaluating the development, analysis, modeling and maintenance of COTS/GOTS products and processes in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities. Supports and participates in technical execution of building, configuring, hardening (STIG), integration and test planning and execution, requirements analysis, and system problem analysis and solution definition. The Sr. Systems Engineer will ensure technical quality and standards are followed. Interfaces with Government personnel to identify required project activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve systems engineering issues. Must be a quick learner, be a team player, and communicate well with peers and managers. Candidate must possess strong troubleshooting skills and have the discipline to work independently or unsupervised when necessary and working within a time critical, physically demanding environment as the subject matter expert within the given domain but willing to support the team in a variety of tasks as required. Ability to support up to 20% travel to CONUS or OCONUS sites is required. The candidate will also support on the job training to peers and/or junior staff as needed as an IPT (Integrated Product Team) leader. Advanced knowledge of DoD compliant systems security, STIG and VMS is a plus. The anticipated position locationis Ft. Meade, MD, and will require some travel to NIS Headquarters. Required Skills Must have a minimum of 6 years related advanced technical and general experience. Expert knowledge in two or more of the following areas: W2K3/W2008, Active Directory, VMWare, MS SQL, LINUX, and Exchange 2003/2010. Advanced knowledge of enterprise-level group policies. Broad experience in system and system-of-systems architectures in information-intensive domains. Broad experience in IT and systems, including such areas as software engineering, system requirements analysis, computing infrastructure and networking, product and technology assessment, and integration and test. Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions. Demonstrated ability to participate and work effectively as a team member with contractor and Government staffs from different locations and organizations. Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration and engineering activities. Demonstrated ability to author technical documents (Techniques, Tactics and Procedures (TTPs)). Possess Security + certification, or better, or be able to obtain this certification within one months of employment. Possess an MCSE certification (or equivalent certification) or be able to obtain this certification within six months of employment. Required Clearance Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, Top Secret desirable Desired Skills VMWare and VoIP experience is highly desired. MCTS CISSP LINUX and MS SQL Server database experience Working knowledge of communications and computer networks. Experience with DoD policies. Experience with DoD, STIG and VMS. Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with a diverse audience of non-technical and technical personnel. Experience with leading a team. Education B.S./B.A. in technical discipline with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience (8 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree, or 4 years experience for a 2-year degree).
