We are a market leading eCommerce Company and a provider of consumer financial products. Due to massive growth and demand for our products, we are continuing to hire in all departments of our company. Currently, our most urgent need is to hire for a Sr. Windows Systems Engineer that possesses experience with Windows 2008, Active Directory, Exchange 2007, and Virtualization but most importantly Storage Experience ideally with EMC and/or NetApp products.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be primarily responsible for carrying out 70% Storage/30% Windows Infrastructure related responsibilities helping to design, implement, and maintain an effective and reliable storage infrastructure whilst also working with a systems team that is responsible for this companies server and network infrastructure. What you need for this position:

- Minimum 5 years in a +100 server Windows environment.
- Minimum 5 years experience responsible for the entire SAN infrastructure including but not limited to storage devices such as P XP/Hitachi USP, EVA, MSA/P2000, 3PAR, Left Hand and EMC CX/CSS/VNX series.
- Experience designing, configuring, and supporting Fiber Channel and iSCSI storage networks.
- Minimum 3 years experience with routing and switching.
- Required Minimum 3 years experience using VMware Enterprise software.
- Required MCSA 2003 Certification, MCITP: Server Administrator, or higher level.
- Required VMware VCP certification (VI3 or vSphere).
- Preferred 3 years experience with Cisco ASA/PIX or Similar Hardware.
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred proficiency with monitoring tools like SCOM 2007, MOM, Hyperic, Zenoss.
- Proficiency with Active Directory 2003/2008 Domain administration.
- Experience debugging applications, services, and network problems.
- Experience installing and configuring systems/software unassisted.
- Helpful experiences include: Professional experience in Lending or Financial Services, E-Commerce, supporting development teams in a .NET environment.

What you'll be doing:

- Primary resource for the entire SAN infrastructure including but not limited to storage devices such as: HP XP/Hitachi USP, EVA, MSA/P2000, 3PAR, Left Hand and EMC CX/CSS/VNX series.
- Design, configure, and support Fiber Channel and iSCSI storage networks.
- Provide business continuity design/administration for storage systems, including snapshot and replication technologies.
- Recommend, design, implement and support systems architecture, including operating system and hardware configurations as related to the SAN infrastructure including performance.
- Monitor, maintain and actively support the SAN infrastructure.
- Lead EMC support for a SAN environment that includes both EMC storage.
- Lead installation of new storage, allocate storage consistent with PTS storage service process, monitor and manage performance of storage resources.
- Provide storage reporting to include allocation, utilization, performance, problem/incident, and root cause analysis.
- Provide on-call coverage in rotation with lead PTS storage engineer.
- Cross train and effect knowledge transfer to ensure high customer support levels on EMC storage without regard to which engineer is on-call.
- Maintain storage hardware and associated software at top levels of performance by monitoring version upgrades and maintenance releases to ensure that Pearson environment is optimally configured.
