The Intelligence Systems Business Unit of SAIC has an opening for a Senior Systems Integrator on a High Performance Computing Environment (HPCE) project developing a Cloud Computing solution for Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) IT Enterprise in Alexandria, VA. The effort will develop and deliver an integrated capability which fuses best-of-breed COTS HPCE infrastructure components such as the Cloudera Hadoop distribution and management framework along with non-traditional databases and data structures. The goal of the program is to provide a scalable, distributed computing and analytic environment able to achieve major performance increases in response times for large scale analyst queries across multiple, diverse data sets. This is a chance to be a part of a cutting-edge, next-generation, high-priority project for the National Intelligence Community. Candidate will join an Integrated Product Team tasked with integrating COTS and GOTS hardware and software products to meet client and project requirements, sometimes on very short time lines. Candidate performs integration of selected hardware into racks at factory location. Candidate performs integration of operating system(s) and software applications on systems at factory location. Candidate works with deployment location teams to ensure all system requirements (power, cooling, networking, etc...) are met for deployment. Candidate performs site deployment as part of deployment team. The candidate may perform administration and maintenance for the overall system and its individual technology components and provide raw content for design documentation, system implementation plans, installation guides and server administration guides. The candidate will contribute to project test plans, security test plans, test procedures, system security authorization agreements, and interface control documents. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of systems integration/administration experience as well as familiarity with RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 administration, Windows 2008 administration, scripting, and virtualization. Additional years of experience and/or certifications can be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Commercial industry certifications a definite plus. Prior experience with high-reliability, high-availability computing environments, integration of applications/services across geographically dispersed systems architecture. Experience with the Cloudera framework suite of tools. Knowledge of/experience with DoDIIS/DoDAF system implementations and with DIA and/or other Intelligence Agency analytical processes, procedures, and systems.
