Security Clearance: Secret

Five years experience in developing enterprise solutions. Recent experience with Microsoft Office products, Windows Networks, MS Office Professional, Visual Studio, and MS SQL Server 2000 preferred. Three years experience supervising or directing the activities of technicians, field engineers and programmers. Requires substantial knowledge and experience in Wide Area Network design and configuration control and administration of NetWare and/or Windows NT networks. Documented experience implementing and administering Information Security (INFOSEC) rules and regulations on network operating systems and network hardware. All Network Certifications preferred. Preferably this experience is in support of a Government Range Operations Contract or DOD project. Technical Writing experience required.

Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity for system upgrades and maintainability. May require interaction with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, which often times requires coordination between several organizations. Participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects. Responsible for the operation, maintenance and engineering projects for all data communication and Ethernet network systems used to support the East Coast Tactical Training Ranges. Coordinate with supervisors, managers, staff members and customer representatives to meet schedules or resolve technical operational or maintenance problems. Represents the organization as the prime technical contact for CIS Systems and Data Networking issues. Develop and administer budget, schedules, and performance standards as required. Must maintain a valid driver's license.
Duties Specific To Specialization:
Report to the East Coast Program Manager Engineering Manager.
Perform tasks/projects that are commensurate with above stated education and experience requirements and experience gained through on-the-job-training.
Communicate with NSWC Point-of-Contact on all matters concerning East Coast Tactical Training Range wide area network (WAN).
Gather software/hardware information, analyze data and prepare reports for Government tasks.
Enforce automated data processing (ADP) security, purchasing, and copyright and piracy policies.
Verify that all data networks meet or exceed Information Security practices. Report all IS security infractions to the appropriate Information Systems Security Officer.
Ensure the configuration baseline of the ECTTR WAN (hardware and software) is maintained and updated in accordance with IAW ECTTR CM policies. Recommend changes to ECTTR policies. Supervise and manage the activities of technicians, field engineers and programmers in the FTTR Computer Information Systems (CIS) cost center. Ensure CIS personnel are responsive to government and contractor customers needs.
Create, modify, document and manage a sequential query library (SQL) data warehouse and client databases and direct the activities of personnel accomplishing the above tasks in support of the contract.
Establish and attend monthly CIS meetings.
