As a Senior Technical Architect, you'll take the lead as you... - Provide technical leadership within an architecture discipline on assigned initiatives/projects. - Define the architecture, client environment, and supporting tools to meet stated program or project objectives - Communicate the architecture direction for your discipline and provide an understanding of a set of platforms and applications - Participate in efforts to create new standards and best practices and drive adoption across the technical community - Assess new technology to determine its viability and applicability within Target's technical environment - Provide technical leadership in building logical data models for enterprise data warehouse. - Provide direction to the team of data architects and modelers to build and enterprise business intelligence solution. Responsibilities - Work with project teams and other architects to integrate project level data into the enterprise conceptual and logical data models. - Review client data models for soundness of data structures and adherence to Target standards. - Define the standards and processes for data modeling activities for the enterprise. - Thoroughly understand and apply Target's database design process, project methodologies and data modeling standards. - Lead or Participate in the definition of any data model best practice, including patterns, governance and compliance through Target development lifecycle. - Provide consulting services to educate and mentor business and IT partners on enterprise data and information management methods, standards, processes, data modeling/design techniques and best practices. - Help developers achieve speed to market with high quality data designs; providing strong client service and satisfaction by meeting the needs of internal clients in a complete and timely manner; and acting proactively to minimize problems or concerns.
