Sr Technical Editor/Writer

Job Description:
- Edits, writes, and/or rewrites technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively research findings, technical developments, and other news and information to a wide range of external audiences.
- Interprets and administers documentation/ communication policies and procedures.
- Advises writers and researchers in matters of style, syntax, and usage to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications.
- Exercises quality control over documents intended for external distribution.
- May participate in copy clearance process.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical writing experience writing descriptions of complex electronic equipment and systems and writing and documenting procedures and processes.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in effectively formatting technical publications to include writing, editing, illustration, and interpretations.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in interpreting engineering and maintenance drawings and operational procedures.
- A minimum of two(2) years experience using MS Word
- Experience with processing/desktop publishing, spreadsheets, and graphic design and presentation and web programs.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph required .

Required Skills:

  • A grade/level A03 position requires a minimum 4+ years of experience.

  • A grade/level of A04 position requires a minimum 6+ years of experience.
