Sr Test Engineer I - Integration Engineer
Raytheon is seeking an Integration Engineer to perform integration and sub-system check-out for the development phase of the Shiloh program. Must be able to perform integration relative to software, hardware and COTS intensive systems and identify conflicting issues. Position reports to the program IPT Lead and acts as technical expert for the integration and checkout of the sub-system.
Some travel required.
Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Pro-actively learn the system as it is developed, utilizing operational concepts, requirements, high-level system architecture and other documents
- Interact with engineers from other disciplines, such as Systems and Software Engineering, to obtain pertinent information required to accomplish tasks
- Develop integration procedures and test tools to support product and/or system-level integration in both a development environment and lab setting
- Execute the integration activities necessary to verify compliance with established plans, requirements and procedures, and to ensure system integrity and readiness
- Assist teammates and coordinate with other functions in the execution of integration activities
- Prepare checkout plans to support a streamlined sub-system checkout process
- Support analysis, assessment, and work-off of discrepancy reports
- Support SE functions in between integration and checkout activities
- Support change package traffic assessment
- Support SEIT team in preparation and conduct of program technical reviews
- Participate in code and other engineering artifact reviews
- Manage and maintain assigned documents in accordance with established program policies and procedures
- Complete assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones
- Provide weekly status (technical and schedule) for own task
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Minimum of 4 years Systems Engineering and/or Integration and Verification experience
- Demonstrated ability to work under general direction. Able to independently plan and develop approach to assignments
- Demonstrated ability to separate complex topics into understandable parts and provide clear communication within a multi-disciplined team
- Experience with hardware, software and COTS integration
- Experience with computers, storage, networking, technologies
- Experience creating test data sets
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment / tasking direction
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Active SSBI
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
- Familiarity with software development life cycle
- Experience programming with scripting languages
- Experience with CONOPS development
- Experience with aspects of environmental security
- Experience with the development/derivation/management of Interface Control Documents
- Experience in Mission Management, Flight Dynamics, or Command Control domains
- Experience with Operations and Maintenance support
- Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
- Familiarity with integration and test automation
- Strong integration and problem solving skills
Required Education (including Major):
B.S./B.A. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a science.
