Customer Training is responsible for training Pershing s Introducing Broker Dealers (IBD s) and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms on all applications, policies and procedures available to customers. The trainer s role is to conduct training sessions using a variety of methods at various locations. Training is offered via eLearning, on-site in one of Pershing s training facilities or on-site at a customer location. Training can be conducted one on one or one to many depending on the needs of the customer. The role involves 50 60% travel which is primarily domestic, but could be international. The trainers have an excellent understanding of Pershing and our customers. They are required to be subject matter experts on Pershing s applications and policies and procedures. They are also required to be familiar with other products and services Pershing provides. A new trainer completes a thorough training program within their first few months of employment. The program includes: learning and certifying on Pershing s applications, policies and procedures, meeting with Pershing department managers to both learn about their areas and develop relationships for future support, observing and conducting basic training events, and demonstrating presentation skills and content knowledge to management. Following this time a new trainer will be expected to handle training events independently. They will collaborate with experienced trainers on more complex events such as large customer conversions, institutional customer events and certain events for our Global Customers. The trainers are required to work independently with Introducing Broker Dealers to schedule and conduct training events. They must be able to evaluate a customer s training needs and based on the results, create a customized training agenda. The role is highly autonomous and the trainers must be able to make decisions based on their own judgment. The trainers manage their own schedule and travel independently as representatives of Pershing. The trainers are assigned to work directly with Pershing s strategic customers and their relationship teams. They act as a valuable part of the Pershing relationship team. They are responsible for collaborating with management from the customer and the Pershing relationship team to create an annual strategic training plan. They are then responsible for implementing the plan throughout the year. The trainers are also responsible for representing Pershing at customer conferences and for conducting demonstrations to prospective customers. They are responsible for training new customers during conversions. They must be able to anticipate the needs of the customer / prospect and tailor the training accordingly.

Qualifications

BA/BS preferred. 3 -5 Years Financial Services experience..
