Sr. Transmission Line Structural Engineering Technician
Technical Design Role - Position is expected to have a high level of expertise in technical design, capable of solving difficult technical problems, as well as providing consultation and training in their field of expertise. Leadership Role - Position is expected to function in a supervisory capacity in addition to their design and production responsibilities. Individual should have extensive overhead transmission line design experience, an extensive knowledge of PLS-CADD, and have performed structure spotting and insulator/hardware selection. Candidate should also have a strong knowledge of tubular steel structure shop drawings. Experience working in the consulting engineering industry is strongly preferred. Individual will supervise the efforts of other engineering technicians, including mentoring, instructing and providing feedback on their performance. Routinely perform design, scheduling, programming, serving in field assignments and other tasks requiring technical engineering judgment and decisions utilizing knowledge and experience. Must have in-depth knowledge of engineering disciplines other than their own for purpose of coordinating with other departments, engineering managers, field personnel and clients. Must develop an understanding of the business and financial side of a project.
