We are looking for someone with a unique blend of artistic and technological enthusiasm. Beyond what's on your resume, we realize you probably eat, breathe, and sleep UI Design / UXD / IXD (and technology like HTML, CSS, etc. as well). Responsibilities:
- Applying user-centered design processes to create high quality, compelling user experiences
- Working closely with product managers and developers to define product direction and UI requirements
- Scoping, planning and managing multiple design projects from strategic product definition to launch
- Create the user interaction model, workflow, information architecture, schematics, and interface guidelines/specifications
- Facilitating project communication and asset exchange across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
Helping create interactive prototypes for user and market research
Candidate must demonstrate exemplary conceptual, design, and production skills
Requirements:
- Should have MS/MFA in graphic design or BA with at least 4 years of user centered design experience for web based products
- Must have demonstrated past success in creating compelling UX/UI experiences for web based products (experience in mobile a plus)
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is required
- Strong foundation of Adobe Product Suite, such as AfterEffects, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc is required
- Background in prototyping tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of web trends and underlying technology such as HTML5 and CSS3 is required
- Ability to create clickable mockups that can be handed off to engineering is a must
- Note: ideally, we'd like find someone in the South Bay for this role, but we realize that are a lot of very talented design folks who aren't local. If you live in San Francisco (for example), we'd be open to a couple/few days per week of telecommuting. And if you're based outside of the SF Bay Area, we'd be open to helping the right candidate relocate to Silicon Valley as well.
