Information Protection: includes the development, implementation, communication, monitoring and maintenance of information security policies and procedures which promote a secure and uninterrupted operation of all data processing systems. A Senior Unix Security Administrator in the KP Information Security Identity and Access Management UNIX Team provides support for on-going projects and compliance efforts across the KP enterprise. KP Information Security manages access control for more than 3000 UNIX servers. This position requires hands-on UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux) experience. This position requires extensive scripting using UNIX shell and perl programming. It requires a strong understanding of UNIX user access management, SSH configuration, sudo and PowerBroker. Essential Functions: - Provide leadership and technical support for UNIX operating system security, particularly in the area of access and privilege management Creates, modifies and deletes user profiles and other access controls. - Ensures the implementation of system access controls based upon KP-IT Information Protection policies and standards. - Ensures that all requests for access to computerized systems and data have received appropriate approvals. - Assist with the deployment and support of vendor products - Produce documentation to satisfy audit requirements for SOX and PCI certifications - Collect data and report security issues - Collaborate with technical peers to identify root cause of security issues and provide appropriate resolutions - Work directly with the business/application-side customers to remediate UNIX security issues - Shell coding and task automation - Create documentation based on IAM Services policies and procedures - Use Remedy to monitor and receive incoming requests and problems - Recommends and/or assists in the development and implementation of Information Protection policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. - Reviews security logs and violation reports and follows-up as appropriate. - Assesses the development, testing and implementation of appropriate Information Protection controls. - Assists in developing Information Protection awareness programs and performs Information Protection training. - Provides statuses about end user access to end users, end user management and higher level resources. - Identifies compensating controls to mitigate risks in the healthcare enterprise. - Assists with facilitation of risk analysis with business units. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience. - A minimum of 5 years Information Technology (IT) experience including development, implementation, communication, monitoring and maintenance of information security policies and procedures. - A minimum of 4 or more years of experience in AIX/LINUX/Sun operating system administration - A minimum of 4 or more years of UNIX security administration experience - Active Directory administration and/or UNIX-to-AD authentication integration experience - UNIX Identity Management experience - PAM Authentication product experience Preferred Qualifications: - UNIX Security Monitoring tools (Tripwire, Qualys etc...) - BeyondTrust Powerbroker and Quest QAS product experience - Shell scripting - Perl scripting
