Sr. Web Developer - Front End
Sr. Web Developer - Front End San Mateo, CA We are looking for a creative self-starter that enjoys working in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment. You must possess a strong foundation in computer science and have demonstrated a proven track record of sound code design, reuse, and maintenance. Ideal candidates possess end-to-end knowledge of the content management and web application space including performance and scalability design and tuning. Expertise in Javascript Toolkits and Java required, as well as strong CSS and Ajax experience. Job Responsibilities: - Work on cutting edge and legacy UIs - Create highly interactive and well-designed web applications. - Work closely with a team of peers to achieve common goals for the product user interfaces. - Building and improving all aspects of the product - Build clean, self explanatory and well-documented code - Work in a diverse integrated environment of open source technology, including Linux, AJAX, XHTML, and Java - Develop, deploy and maintain integrations among existing systems and new partners Requirements: - Expertise with JSP, servlets, HTML, CSS, the HTTP protocol; solid Javascript skills. - Strong principles of user interface design, and scalable dynamic GUIs. - Solid background in the fundamentals of software development. - Can describe some complex and difficult UI challenges, and be able to verbally communicate the reasoning behind his or her design decisions. - Experience with advanced data structures, API/service interface development and web development. - Experience with a development environment that includes Eclipse, Java 1.6. Working knowledge of one or more Java based Web application frameworks.
