Position Description ? Directs analytics and optimization of large global category events (sourcing, auction, leverage buy, etc) by utilizing optimization tools and coordinates with Project Managers, Retail Markets, Planner, Merchants and Global Category Managers in developing sourcing strategy and initial projected financial savings. ? Optimizes and analyzes indirect and direct volume spend in average of $2 Billion annually ? Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships to maximize the achievement of business goals. ? Presents optimizations and projected program savings to Senior Leaderships and prepares the executive summary ? Works cross-functional with Merchants, Sourcing Managers, Finance in analyzing and planning the award decisions on global competitive bids; ? Manages the indentification and prioritization of strategic sourcing projects that support in cost saving initiatives. ? Manages and provides issue resolution. ? Provides leadership with cross-functional sourcing matrix team in directing a complex global competitive sourcing/buying event to combine Walmart global purchasing leverage ? Develops best practices and process for exceptional results
