Key Responsibilities:
The position will require the candidate to maintain credit views on assigned Industries and the issuers comprising the industries, assist the Global Head of High Yield in developing macro view of the High Yield market and implement strategies within client portfolios. Work with other members of the High Yield analyst team in assessing risk return potential of existing and potential credits. Conduct high level and skilled meetings and presentations with the Portfolio Managers as well as with both existing and potential clients. Provide accurate and detailed credit research to assist in the positioning of the firm's global credit fixed income portfolios. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and law.
- 10+ years of credit research experience is desired.
- Must possess a strong aptitude for relative value and proactively makes active credit investment recommendations using a total rate of return or absolute return investing framework, capitalizing on both primary and secondary market opportunities.
- Strong Client facing skills and experience including both internally and externally.
- Have been either responsible for or a key contributor in development of macro High Yield market views.
- Demonstrate integrity and sound/independent credit judgment within an Active Fixed Income team.
- Successful performance track record.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Solid computer literacy and ability to utilize effectively the various credit, risk and product systems.
- Acts independently within established investment policy guidelines.
- Some credit portfolio management or trading experience preferred.
- A Master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or other business-related field of study and or a CFA are highly preferred
