The Marketing and Sales Supervisor is responsible for maintaining programs to ensure that the distribution efforts of SSgA are in compliance with FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory rules as they relate to SSgA's business. These programs include but are not limited to the approval of advertising and sales literature, social media, correspondence, non-cash compensation, business continuity, and other supervisory responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensure compliance of SSgA's marketing material by acting as the final business approver
- Work with SSgA's marketing team to streamline social media content review
- Act as general compliance resource for the IBG Sales and Marketing Teams
- Leverage legal and compliance relationships throughout State Street
- Provide ad hoc training or supervisory alerts
- Assist with compliance issues that arise in sales practices
- Communicate identified exposures
- Assist with risk and compliance questions
- Communicate training opportunities
- Point person for business unit questions
Educations and Experience
- 4 year college degree required
- Series 24 preferred or attainable within 30 days
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience – preferably with a role in reviewing sales literature
- Experience with marketing and sales practices preferred
Skills/Knowledge
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of industry distribution practices
• Effective relationship management skills
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements around distribution practices (FINRA, SEC)
