Position Summary
Samsung Semiconductor Inc, one of the world's largest semiconductor manufactures has an elite team of Design Engineers working on the next generation of ARM processor based System-on-Chip applications.
We are currently looking for a SoC Verification Engineer to join our team in San Jose.
Common Essential Duties Resp.
* Functional verification of SoCs, which include multiple CPUs as well as various communication IPs such as USB, SATA, Ethernet, PCIe etc.
* All aspects of verification activities including generation of verification plans, generation of testbenches, checkers, monitors, scoreboards and test cases as well as analysis of RTL code and functional coverage;
* Debugging of failing test cases
* Modeling of components for verification and performance measurement
Background/Experience
* Good knowledge of SystemVerilog
* Experience with constrained random verification methodologies and frameworks such as UVM, OVM, VMM, or Verisity e
* Experience writing reusable verification components such as monitors, checkers, and assertions.
* Experience in defining functional coverage criteria, writing functional coverage monitors and using code coverage.
*Any of the following is a plus:
o Knowledge of the ARMv7 CPU architecture
o Knowledge of AMBA SOC buses (AXI/ACE)
o Prior verification experience on SATA, Ethernet, PCIe, USB, or FLASH controller
o Experience in networking protocols
o Experience in using SystemC / TLM for system modeling and building virtual prototypes
o Programming skills (C/C++, Python, Perl)
* Good communication and documentation skills
* Proactive attitude, taking initiative, team player;
* MS degree with 1+ years of relevant experience or BS degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
