Staff Accountant needed for a growing Utilities company in Lexington area. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for all accounting functions for the company including preparation and analyzing financial statements. Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant will also include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, forecasting, fixed assets and detailed general ledger work. The Staff Accountant will report directly to and work closely with the Controller of the company. Ideal Staff Accountant for this assignment will be accurate and organized, have fixed assets experience, the ability to analyze and share innovative ideas efficiently and display creative problem-solving skills. A Bachelors degree in Accounting and 5+ years experience is required. Strong Excel experience and attention to detail is also necessary.
