Staff Accountant Job in Houston, Texas Us

Take your Staff Account skills to the next level within a global accounting function.   Our Staff Accountant will handle daily tasks, while learning to support the function out of Taiwan.  Utilizing our newly implemented SAP software, we will look for you to learn and grow with our Directors of Finance and Accounting.

This is a great opportunity for a Staff Accountant with at least 5 years of experience to work in our corporate office located in Houston.  TSRC is a global manufacturer of high-end products used in the manufacture of adhesives and personal care product applications.  TSRC recently acquired Dexco Polymers, and we are now the headquarters of US operations.

You will be responsible for Accounts Receivables, Cash Applications, Asset Accounting, Project Accounting, General Ledger Account Reconciliation, Product Cost Standards, Cost Flow Allocations, Order Accounting, Inventory Value Reconciliation, Inventory Physical Reconciliation and Sales Reconciliation.  Daily responsibilities include:

·         Apply cash receipts from banking systems

·         Build of assets into the SAP system, run depreciation, asset verification (physicals)

·         Set up WBS/AUC records, run project cost reports for project managers, plan, overrun follow-ups

·         Balance Sheet reconciliations

·         Set the monthly standards

·         Set up of Distributions and Assessments

·         Evaluate and reconcile activity pricing

·         Ensure inventory values are accurate for balance sheet and cost of goods sold; Cost flow reviews for each activity grouping.

·         Reconcile the physical inventory movements to the actual inventory.  Ensure inventory is in the proper status and location.  Organize physical counts and address inventory issues including aging and controls (i.e. W/O)

·         Review of customer sales and ensure all sales are billed or accrued

Must be proficient in Excel, able to use/create formulas for new spreadsheet applications, possess a strong analytical ability and ability to work in a time-controlled environment.

You will be required to implement quality standards and processes into every aspect of the job as well as provide efficient and accurate quality service to clients and employees.
