Position Function
This position will provide financial accounting, reporting, and analysis support to corporate services and each of the company's divisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage fixed assets for multiple divisions, including verification of documentation to support purchases, capitalization, disposal, monitoring spending versus plan, and reporting using the FAS system.
- Responsible to monitor and maintain the intercompany balance sheet accounts and ensure they remain in balance.
- Review expense reports to verify compliance with standard operating procedures
- Assist with monthly financial statement close (various journal entries; account reconciliations).
- Allocate worker's compensation and product liability expenses between plants and sales centers
- Assist in preparing quarterly audit schedules for quarterly review and year-end external audit
- Respond to questions from internal departments and external auditors.
- Develop and maintain effective, professional and respectful working relationships
- Responsible for multiple ledger account reconciliations and resolution of reconciliation issues - including identifying new issues that arise.
- Participate in a wide variety of projects or other tasks as assigned.
Other Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), public accounting experience a plus.
- Knowledge of FAS and Hyperion Essbase software a plus.
- ERP experience required.
- Strong research and analytical skills in researching account reconciliation differences. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on our financial results.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to work comfortably with other programs in Microsoft Office.
- Solid organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work closely with other departments as well as external auditors.
Skills/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 2 years experience in financial/general ledger accounting and reporting;

- B.S. in Accounting
