Staff Accountant Job in New York, New York Us
A Leading High End Fashion retailer located in New York is searching for a Staff Accountant who will handle the following responsibilities:
- Analyze financial statement variance
- Reconcile store bank statements
- Update fixed asset schedule
- Reconcile inventory general ledger balances
- Record depreciation
- Reconciliation of work papers for all balance sheet accounts
- Analyze expense account
- Enter prepaid expense amortization
- Process various accrual and allocation entries
- Process deferred rent adjustments
- Record customer returns and discount transactions
- Assist in month-end closing procedures
Qualified Candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with Retail Accounting experience
- 2+ years of experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Great Plains a plus
The total compensation range is from $48,000 to $60,000 with excellent benefits (medical, dental), and 401k plan with match.
