Staff Accountant Job in Somerset, New Jersey US
A Leading Company located in Somerset County, New Jersey is searching for a Staff Accountant who will handle the following responsibilities:
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist in the quarterly and year-end audit and tax processes
- Process inter-company reconciliations
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statements
- Prepare variance analysis
- Analyze variances to budget and prior year
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
- Reconcile fixed asset net book value to general ledger
- Assist in the monthly/quarterly close
- Analyze GAAP issues relating to the properties/investments and the Fund
- Review Cost Segregation Reports
- Coordinate wires to ensure timely closing of acquisitions
- Assist with the valuation of the Investments
- Prepare Quarterly Financial Statements
- Coordination of annual Audits
Qualified Candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting a MUST; CPA or parts passed a plus
- 0 to 5 years experience; Public Accounting Experience or Internship Preferred
- Report to Controller with exposure to various business leads
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to take initiative
The total compensation range is from $40,000 to $55,000 with excellent benefits (medical, dental), and 401k plan with match.
