Staff Accountant – Profitability Reporting recruitment

The Staff Accountant supports the Delaware Investments business based in Philadelphia PA. Key functions include profitability analysis and reporting, assistance in preparing reports for management and the Fund Board, allocations and report design in MicroStrategy system, and various statistical and metric analyses.

Additionally, the position will have the opportunity to perform special ad hoc projects as requested by management.

KEY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monthly 12b1 reporting for Distribution revenue and expenditures.

Profitability reporting for each Fund and client, lines of business and investment team and overall enterprise.

Quarterly and Annual contract renewal analyses for Fund Board of Directors meetings.

Monthly allocation accounting in MicroStrategy system to generate Profitability analyses.

MicroStrategy report design for additional profitability analyses.

Analysis of key statistical metrics that affect profitability.

Analysis of revenue, waivers and expenses for various funds, clients and lines of business.

Assistance with preparation of various accounting analyses as requested.

Assistance with General Ledger postings and reconciliations.

Special projects to assess the viability of current and or new products and lines of business.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (include minimum education and required knowledge and skills):

Bachelor of Science with a Major in Accounting required.

Minimum two years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting

Financial services industry experience preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.

MicroStrategy experience a plus.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

CPA candidate preferred.
