The Technology Solutions Group of QinetiQ North America is recruiting a Staff Electrical Engineer.
Position Summary:
The Staff Electrical Engineer will assist Lead Hardware Engineers in designing, building, and testing of electrical systems for military and industrial robotic applications.
Duties Responsibilities :
The Staff Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, test, integration and development support of electronic and Electro-mechanical robotic systems.
Engineers will participate in multi-disciplined integrated product teams working closely with Program Managers and Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Manufacturing Engineers.
Duties may include the test and integration and other production support of (digital and analog) circuitry and modules; troubleshooting and resolving issues on deliverable product; verifying and validating component performance to specifications; and defining and implementing design or process changes.
Solid Electrical Engineering background, including co-op or internship
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools - ORCAD, Cadence
• Knowledge of Simulation and Analysis tools - Cadence Pspice
• Familiar with Data Collection and Analysis tools - MATLAB, LabView
• Knowledge of PIC Microcontrollers and C-programming
• Familiar with test equipment, such as Scopes, signal sources, spectrum analyzers
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities on multiple tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
Requires a Bachelor's degree and two to four years of experience.
