Posted Position Title: Staff Engineer / Technologist 4 Career Level: Experienced Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Product Design and Development Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Ohio City: West Chester Postal Code: 45069 Role Summary/Purpose: The Staff Engineer / Technologist demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning. Essential Responsibilities - Provide engineering leadership for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions, and problem resolutions for field or manufacturing issues - Provide technical guidance and mentoring across the organization - Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews - Function as a program manager when appropriate - Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments - Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with company policies and procedures Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university - At least 10 additional years of experience in an engineering position ELIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - This position requires access to controlled technology. Desired Characteristics - Experience in gas turbine design, certification or qualification - Significant design or analysis experience with high energy rotating parts, including disks and shafts - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems - Ability to guide and influence others - Green Belt Six Sigma certified The Commercial and Military Low Pressure Turbine teams within the LPT MS Module is responsible for the design, development, test, and certification / qualification, production support, and field support of the low-pressure turbine including airfoils, rotating parts and structures.
