Staff Nurse (Band 5) - Derby
Hays Healthcare is proud to be working with our client based in Derbyshire who require committed and enthusiastic Band 5 Nurses. Nurses are required to fill positions in a newly opened £20 million pound hospital.
Job Summary:
Successful applicants will be required to provide skilled nursing care in a community hospital under the direction of the Charge Nurse / Sister. This will be underpinned by the following responsibilities:
· Maintain a high standard of skilled nursing care.
· Monitor the quality and effectiveness of nursing care, using appropriate standards
· Keep accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
· To contribute to the clinical and corporate agenda of Derbyshire Community Health Services
· Contribute to the management of the ward and assume agreed responsibility.
· To make effective and efficient use of resources
· To receive and participate in PDR
· To work with patients - moving and handling
· Accurate documentation
· The dispensing of drugs
· Diffusing clinical situations
The role of a Nurse is incredibly challenging, but offers up innumerable personal rewards. Our client wishes to hear from Nurses with passion for their work and who have the following skills and attributes:
· RGN qualified and registered with the NMC
· The ability to prioritise work.
· Effective communication skills.
· Knowledge of Public Health and Health Promotion.
· A willingness to develop.
· To be flexible and adaptable in all aspects of work.
