Staff Nurse (RGN) opportunities
I am urgently recruiting general nurses (RGN) and staff nurses with AE experience (band 5 and above) to work through Hays as agency nurses throughout Derbyshire. I am looking for experienced nurses who are flexible, adaptable and reliable, are able to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week and are organised, confident and able to work using their own initiative. I have roles currently available in AE departments and on general wards in Ilkiston, Worksop, Chesterfield, Belper and Babington, and our client base is growing.
For these roles it is essential that you have:
· Post Registration Experience in a UK hospital setting
. current NMC registration
. Current residence in the UK and eligibility to work
. Ability to prioritise your own workload
. Good communication and interpersonal skills
. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
To work through us as an AE nurse you must also have:
· Development of advanced clinical skills (eg: IV Drug administration, Plastering skills, Venepuncture and cannulation)
· Assessment skills enabling prioritisation of the patient and the initiation of urgent intervention if required
· Ongoing assessment skills allowing recognition of any alteration in the patient`s condition and initiating intervention when required
· Able to recognise the potential for physical or verbal violence, and to seek assistance in diffusing the situation, or to seek assistance in taking the appropriate action
· Awareness of role in a major incident and of current developments in emergency care
