Staff Package Engineer
Summary:
The staff package engineer will be accountable for managing the successful execution of the design development of new packaging, implementing tests, guaranteeing proper industry standards regulatory requirements are met. This role will work with develop solid relationships with all external internal business partners to create package designs for new products launches. This role will cooperate with OEM's, vendors, RD, internal packaging operations to offer technical packaging guidance leadership.
- Contributes to the company with new designs, procedures, package inventions, or techniques that will make an important impact to the entire RD objectives.
- Manages large scope, high business impact packaging projects associated with the RD goals through innovative package development, atmosphere objectives.
- Have full technical accountability for managing, implementing, interpreting, organizing assignments.
- Determines, implements, coordinates physical package testing to guarantee product package integrity.
- Plans implements key engineering assignments concerned with controversial or unique issues having a severe influence on company programs.
- Manage the development prove solid clear responsibility/accountability for the successful timely completion execution of new packaging systems for new product introductions by working cooperatively with all cross functions in the business, especially core project teams, operations, documentation, marketing, regulatory, quality to support the business goals patent requirements.
- Has knowledge of all related package testing necessities through ISTA ASTM packaging standards.
- Contributes to the troubleshooting in the resolution of packaging associated problems in manufacturing the field.
- Develops recommendations on general packaging guidelines standards for procedures functional necessities.
- Technical knowledge of packaging materials proven capability to use this understanding to support product protection thought the life cycle of the product.
- Understanding of flexible packaging, extrusion injection blow molding, temperature controlled packaging, injection molding, internal environmentally controlled packaging.
- Sustain compliance understanding of systems processes with the FDA regulations concerning package development.
- Implements packaging projects are in agreement with corporate regulatory guidelines.
Must Have:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Packaging, or related with eight years’ experience in Product Packaging Equipment interface is needed for this position.
- At least eight years industrial skill, favorably associated to the development design of medical device packaging /or pharmaceuticals.
