Staff Pharmacist, Health Systems Pharmacies - Jackson Hospital
Responsible for the utilization of technology and management of workflow within the pharmacy department. Responsible for managing customer interactions in the pharmacy, including patient counseling, complaint resolution, quality assurance management, and adherence to practices which promote customer satisfaction. Responsible for assisting in or making recommendations concerning the selection, training, scheduling, development, and performance of pharmacy department personnel. Responsible for assuring that pharmacy department procedures and practices are in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Supervisor in obtaining third party prescription business. Has completed specialized training regarding medication and disease state or has sufficient practical experience that is necessary to provide specialized services offered at clinic location (HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology, etc.). Required Skills: !*! BS in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Current licensure in the state of Alabama. Certified Immunizer or willingness to commit to become certified within 90 days. Experience communicating verbally with patients (on phone, one on one) discussing patient needs, symptoms etc. Preferred Qualifications Experience communicating with physician groups in the community to develop business relationships. Experience with Community Outreach. Experience marketing and promoting pharmacy services. Experience with Compounding Experience working with Oncology Patients
