Full time Staff Pharmacist
Foundation Surgical Hospital, San Antonio, TX
Description: You’ll fill orders with accuracy; check technician prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; home medication reconciliations, inpatient chart reviews, patient education, pain management, quality improvement and patient satisfaction activities; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
This position is full time 32 hours per week and is scheduled morning and afternoon shifts primarily Monday-Friday and takes on call 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month. This position may be scheduled very infrequently on weekends or holidays.
Qualifications:
• Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD)
• TX licensure in good standing
• Hospital and/or surgical experience preferred
• Previous surgery, smoking cessation and medication counseling preferred
Facility: Conveniently located in the South Texas Medical Center of San Antonio, Foundation Surgical Hospital specializes in bariatric surgery, orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, pain management, and spinal surgery. It consists of 20 private suites and four state-of-the-art operating arenas. Management of the centralized pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
